While it would seem to be a pretty clear consensus that the Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling” is the summer anthem of 2009, it got me thinking on the way to Kitchener for the Rookie Tournament. No matter where you go and what level of hockey you go to watch, so many players gear themselves up for a big game by cranking up the tunes. And in arenas across the country, the warm-up music is a vital part of the game experience.
So, that got me thinking. Everyone has such a wide spectrum in music taste, yet always seem to be fairly close in the world of hockey when it comes to what songs to play during the pre-game warm-up. From classics like Enter Sandman by Metallica, Welcome to the Jungle by Guns ‘n Roses or Thunderstruck by AC/DC, to newer tracks and artists like Paralyzer by Finger Eleven. They all get us going for the big game.
That brings me to my question. What do you think is the Best Hockey Warm-Up Song of All-Time?
While I have a few ideas myself, I’m really interested to hear what you the fans have to say. That brings me to my first Barts Web Poll vote by you the fans. Here is how it will work…
